Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - National Loan, 1957.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the number and amount of cash applications for the 6 per cent. National Loan (1) not exceeding (a) £5,000, (b) £25,000, and (c) £100,000, and (2) over £100,000.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state in relation to the recent National Loan (a) the amount applied for; (b) the amount allotted; (c) allotments made to addresses outside the State; (d) the amount, if any, allotted to the banks; (e) the total expenses in connection with the Loan; and (f) the number of applications and the amount allotted in the categories up to £500, £500 to £1,000, £1,000 to £5,000, £5,000 to £10,000, £10,000 to £50,000, £50,000 to £100,000, £100,000 to £250,000, and over £250,000.

I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to take Questions Nos. 28 and 29 together, and to circulate the answer, which is in the form of a tabular statement, with the Official Report.
