Vol. 164 No. 9

Written Answers. - Records of Agricultural Wages.

asked the Minister for Agriculture whether, in view of the fact that industrial employers to whom the Industrial Relations Act, 1946, applies, are obliged to keep records of wages paid to workers for a period of three years, he will introduce legislation to amend the Agricultural Wages Acts so as to require agricultural employers to keep similar records to prove that the provisions of the Acts are being complied with.

I do not consider that the circumstances generally are such as to warrant the introduction of legislation as suggested by the Deputy.
