Vol. 164 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Pensions of Ex-Employees of C.I.E.

andMr. Corish asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if, in view of the fact that some ex-employees of C.I.E. are in receipt of pensions as low as six shillings per week, the Board of C.I.E. will prepare a scheme with a view to increasing the pensions of those not covered by the recent revision of the wages grade employees superannuation scheme.

The position of C.I.E. pensioners who are not covered by the amending superannuation scheme is at present under review.

Is the Minister in a position to state when a decision is likely to be announced in regard to this matter?

I do not think it should be too long delayed.

It is being considered?
