Separate figures are not available in my Department showing the number of persons on the medical register in Waterford County Borough and Waterford County. On the 30th September, 1957, the latest date for which figures are available, there were 28,263 persons on the medical register of the Waterford Board of Public Assistance, whose area comprises Waterford County Borough and Waterford County.
There are 22 dispensary doctors serving in the Board of Public Assistance area.
asked the Minister for Health if he will state in respect of each dispensary district in Dublin County Borough the number of (a) persons and their dependents on the medical register, and (b) dispensary doctors.
There are 28 dispensary districts in the Dublin Board of Assistance area which are situated entirely or partly within the area of the County Borough. The number of persons who on 31st August last were covered by the register in these districts was 108,398. There were 50 dispensary doctors serving in the districts concerned.
Separate figures are not available in my Department showing the number of persons on the medical register in every one of these dispensary districts but, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I am circulating with the Official Report information in regard to 11 of these and the Ballyfermot area, in respect of which the information is available.
