Vol. 164 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - X-Ray Examinations.

asked the Minister for Health whether, in view of recent Press reports, he will make a statement on the danger, if any, of X-ray examinations.

I presume the reference is to statements attributed to two American doctors in regard to potential dangers in mass X-ray examinations. I have seen only the Press reports and have taken steps to obtain the full text of the statements.

I am advised, however, that tests carried out recently in connection with the use of the National Mass Radio graphy Association units do not indicate any grounds for apprehension.
