Vol. 164 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Division of Galway Lands.

asked the Minister for Lands if the Land Commission will be in a position to divide the lands on the Kilcommon's estate at Carrownagapple, Mountbellew, County Galway, in the near future.

Possession of this estate was obtained less than a month ago. It is not yet possible to indicate when allotment will take place but there will be no avoidable delay.

asked the Minister for Lands whether the Land Commission are now in a position to prepare a scheme for the sub-division of the O'Dea estate, Kilconly, Tuam, County Galway.

It has proved impracticable to devise a satisfactory rearrangement scheme with the lands available. Additional lands are in course of purchase to facilitate a comprehensive scheme.

asked the Minister for Lands whether the Land Commission are as yet in a position to draw up a comprehensive scheme for the sub-division of the different parcels of land in their possession in the Caherlistrane area, County Galway.

A scheme for the division of lands on hands in this area will be prepared as soon as possible but it may be necessary to effect some further migrations from the district 5before comprehensive allotment proposals, including rearrangement, can framed.
