The drainage scheme prepared for the Maine catchment area is at present on exhibition locally in accordance with the Arterial Drainage Act, 1945. Pending compliance with the further requirements of the Act in regard to consideration of such observations as may be received, consultation with other Government Departments and confirmation of the scheme I cannot say when drainage operations may commence.
