The Commissioners of Public Works have been asked for advice on the possibility of developing landing facilities at Invir, County Mayo.
Proposals for the construction of a slip at Blacksod were made in March, 1957, by the Special Employment Schemes Office to the Mayo County Council who, I understand, have since been in communication with the Department of the Gaeltacht.
A proposal to reconstruct the pier at Surgeview or to build a new pier is being examined from the engineering viewpoint by the Commissioners of Public Works.
