Vol. 165 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Drainage of River Moy.

asked the Minister for Finance whether the draft scheme for the drainage of the River Moy is yet complete, and, if so, if he will state when work will be started.

As indicated in reply to a question by the Deputy on the 28th November, 1957, special efforts are being made to expedite work on the preparation of the Moy scheme. I am not yet, however, in a position to say when the scheme will be ready.

Would the Minister be able to indicate the nature of the special efforts being made at the moment, to which he refers?

A special effort was made by the late Parliamentary Secretary as a result of which he got the board— for the first time, I think—to indicate a time-table. It is expected that an exhibition of the scheme will be available by October next.
