Vol. 166 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Workshop for Blind Persons.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will state the present position with regard to the establishment of a workshop for blind persons.

The workshop premises of the former Richmond National Institution for the Blind are being utilised, as a temporary arrangement, by the board for the employment of the blind, which has employed the blind workers of that institution since 1st January, 1958. Negotiations are in progress for the acquisition of suitable permanent premises for use as a workshop.
