Vol. 166 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Salaries of Veterinary Surgeons.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will make a statement on his intentions regarding the request of veterinary surgeons in his Department for an increase in pay, in view of the fact that veterinary surgeons in similar posts in Britain and the Six Counties are in receipt of salaries which are £300 a year more than those paid by his Department.

The question of any revision of the salary scales applicable to veterinary posts in my Department is a matter appropriate for settlement within the scheme of Conciliation and Arbitration for the Civil Service.
