Vol. 166 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Skibbereen Bridge.

asked the Minister for Local Government whether he has received a proposal for approval from the Cork County Council for the erection of a bridge across the River Ilen at Skibbereen; and, if so, if he will indicate the present position and when the council may receive instructions to seek tenders for the work.

The Cork County Council were informed on the 5th ultimo that a design submitted for the bridge appeared to be suitable. Some technical details, which are under consideration by the consulting engineer, still remain to be settled before contract document can be prepared and tenders invited.
