Vol. 166 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Nenagh Housing.

asked the Minister for Local Government if, in view of the large number of unemployed in Nenagh, he will state why the building of the seven houses at McDonagh Street, Nenagh, has not begun; and what steps he intends to take to have the work started without further delay.

Approval issued last November to the acceptance of a tender for the erection of the houses referred to. The completion of preliminaries to the commencement of work is a matter entirely for the local authority. I understand that contract documents are now ready for signature and that work should commence on the scheme at an early date.
