Vol. 167 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Arklow-Gorey Telephone Services.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he is aware of the unsatisfactory condition of telephone communication in the Arklow and Gorey areas owing to noisy reception; and if he will have the matter attended to.

I am aware that there have been some complaints of interference on telephone calls in the Gorey and Arklow areas. Steps are being taken to eliminate the trouble which is thought to be due to the proximity of telephone circuits to electric power supply lines.
