Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Personal Incomes.

asked the Taoiseach if he will state the number of persons in the State whose incomes are less than (a) £150, (b) £200, (c) £250 and (d) £300 per annum.

The information requested by the Deputy is not available for any recent year. Statistics of the number of personal incomes classified by income ranges are available only in respect of 1938 and 1943. Particulars of the number of incomes (excluding income from agriculture, forestry and fishing), classified by income ranges, for these years are contained in the report "National Income and Expenditure, 1938-44".
