Vol. 168 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Farm Workers' Wages in Wexford.

asked the Taoiseach if he will state the amount of money required at each subsequent quarterly publication of the consumer price index to restore the purchasing power of adult and juvenile farm workers' wages in County Wexford to the value obtaining on 28th May, 1956.

I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to circulate in the Official Report a statement showing the required information, compiled on the basis of the changes in the Official Consumer Price Index (base: mid-August, 1947=100) since mid-May, 1956 for nearest date to 28th May, 1956, for which the index was computed).

Following is the statement:—
