Vol. 168 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dundalk Postal Facilities.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs whether he is aware that there is a great need for improved postal facilities in Clermont, Haggardstown, Dundalk; and if the necessary steps will be taken to remedy the situation by providing a sub-post office at Clermont Cross or at some other convenient point in the area.

I am unable to agree that improved postal facilities are greatly needed at Clermont, Haggardstown. The very limited volume of business likely to be transacted would not warrant the establishment of a sub-post office at or near Clermont Cross.
