My Department is about to take possession of an area of 25 acres in the townland of Ballyclogher in the Balla area. Negotiations to purchase six other areas totalling 91 acres are expected to commence in the near future and there are a number of other offers of land on hands in the district which are at the preliminary investigation stages.
