Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Courts of Civil Jurisdiction and Summary Jurisdiction.

asked the Minister for Justice if he will state (a) who determines the dates of the holding of courts of (i) civil jurisdiction, and (ii) summary jurisdiction, (b) the date on which the last civil jurisdiction court sitting was held in Listowel, County Kerry, (c) the number of cases then listed for hearing and the number listed as at 30th June, 1958, and (d) if any civil jurisdiction courts have been adjourned, and, if so, for what reason.

The information required by the Deputy is as follows:—

(a) The Minister for Justice, for both civil and summary business. (b) 13th March, 1958. (c) 52 and 44 respectively. (d) The sittings for civil business appointed to be held on the 10th April were not held because of the illness of the justice concerned, and those on the 8th May and 12th June because of the holiday arrangements of both the justice concerned and a neighbouring justice, who pair for annual leave purposes.
