asked the Minister for Justice if he will state the number of persons interned under the Offences Against the State (Amendment) Act, 1940, who were released on parole for medical treatment.
I propose to answer Questions Nos. 39 and 40 together. As, I have already informed the Deputy I am not prepared to furnish any particulars in respect of persons detained pursuant to the provisions of the Offences Against the State (Amendment) Act, 1940, other than those required to be furnished to each House of the Oireachtas pursuant to the provisions of Section 9 of the Act.
