Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Registered Unemployed in Leinster Towns.

asked the Taoiseach if he will state the number of persons registered as unemployed at the employment offices in Newbridge, Kildare, Athy, Edenderry and Blessington on Saturday, 15th November, 1958, and on the corresponding date in 1957.

The numbers of persons on the Live Register on Saturday, 15th November, 1958, at the following local offices of the Department of Social Welfare were: An Droichead Nua, 123; Kildare, 110; Athy, 64; Edenderry, 126; and Blessington, 41. The corresponding figures for the 16th November, 1957, were: An Droichead Nua, 137; Kildare, 174; Athy, 76; Edenderry, 177; and Blessington, 67.
