Vol. 171 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Agents for Foreign Countries: Restrictive Practices.

10.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether it is the view of the Fair Trade Commission that agents for foreign countries should be permitted to introduce restrictive practices whose principle does not exist in their own countries; whether he has considered the matter; and what action he proposes to take therein.

With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 8 and 10 together.

The Fair Trade Commission has been set up with powers to inquire into restrictive practices affecting the supply and distribution of goods. If the Deputy has any information regarding such practices, I suggest that he should furnish it to the commission.
