As stated in my reply of 14th January, 1959 to a question by Deputy Dr. Noel Browne it is not possible to determine how many of the total insured population are in insurable employment at any particular date. Particulars of the average numbers of persons in insurable employment in the State as a whole are available in the form of estimates based on insurance stamps sold, or issued to employer depositors, but no such estimates can be made for individual counties. The information requested by the Deputy is not, therefore, available.
