Vol. 173 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Lime Deliveries.

39.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state the tonnage of lime delivered under the Lime Subsidy Scheme in the six months prior to and in the six months subsequent to the removal of the subsidy.

The transport subsidy on ground limestone has not been removed, but it was reduced by about one-third as from the 1st June, 1958. Deliveries of ground limestone in the six months to the 1st June amounted to 825,000 tons, and in the six months from the 1st June to 141,000 tons.

Would the Minister repeat the first figure, please?

Deliveries of ground limestone in the six months to the 1st June amounted to 825,000 tons, and in the six months from the 1st June amounted to 141,000 tons.

From the 1st June to date?
