The temporary hospital units occupying the site of the proposed Garden of Remembrance are at present being removed. The Rotunda Hospital Authorities should therefore be in a position to hand over the vacated site to the Commissioners of Public Works not later than the end of June.
It has been ascertained that the Commissioners of Public Works hope to invite tenders within the next few weeks for work on laying out the Garden.
