As pointed out in the answers to previous questions figures in respect of vegetables other than potatoes, peas and onions are not readily available and, with regard to meat, the cost would depend on the cuts used which vary from day to day. Further, much of the meat is bought in carcass form and consequently a retail price cannot readily be ascertained.

Notes:

(1) The Board has no special scales for children but extras and special diets are prescribed by the Medical Officers in individual cases as required.

(2) Figures in respect of vegetables other than potatoes are not readily available.

(3) The cost of meat has not been included in the table as the cost would depend on the cuts used. In addition, some of the meat is bought in carcass form and consequently a retail price cannot readily be obtained.
