Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Income from Exports.
6.
Between February 1957 and May 1959 the official domestic export price (unit value) index number increased by 8.5 per cent. On this basis it is estimated that £1.1.8. would, in May 1959, have been received at f.o.b. prices, for the same quantum of domestic exports which would have realised £1 in February, 1957.

The country has had the advantage of an improvement in the terms of trade.
Even with the 2/11d., the Government have thrown away the situation there.
