Vol. 177 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Marking Ballot Paper for Blind Persons.

36.

andMr. Cunningham asked the Minister for Local Government whether he will take steps, if necessary by the introduction of legislation, to permit a blind person at future elections to choose between having his vote recorded by the presiding officer, as at present, or having a relative, designated by him, mark his ballot paper in his presence.

I am having this matter considered.

The eyes of many people will be open in the next election.
