Vol. 177 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Advertising of Vacant Subsidised Houses.

14.

asked the Minister for Local Government if it is mandatory on a local authority to advertise a subsidised house in the public press when such a house becomes vacant; and, if so, what the statutory period is for such advertisement.

It is not mandatory on housing authorities to advertise in the public press vacancies in houses or cottages provided by them under the Housing of the Working Classes Acts or the Labourers Acts.

Does that apply to a subsidised house?

The answer is that it applies to all local authority houses.
