An employment scheme was submitted early this month by Galway Corporation for providing improved bathing facilities at Ballyloughane Strand and is being examined. A scheme involving work on the Whitestrand Road has not yet been submitted.
May I ask the Minister when he expects to sanction the first scheme?
This proposal was received on 2nd November and is under consideration. We hope to have some information out to the local authority in the very near future. I cannot go any nearer than "the very near future". The matter is under consideration at the moment.
