Vol. 179 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kerry Housing Grants.

51.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state the reason for the delay in paying housing grants to applicants in Kerry who have completed the erection of new houses or reconstructed old ones, and who owe large sums of money to suppliers of material and to contractors; and if he will issue instructions that payment of all grants due be made forthwith.

I am not aware of any exceptional delays in relation to Kerry in the payment of housing grants. I would refer the Deputy to my reply to Questions put down by Deputies O'Higgins and Burke.
