Vol. 180 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Improved Amenities at Bray.

25.

asked the Minister for Local Government whether he has received any proposals concerning the provision of improved amenities at Bray, County Wicklow; and, if so, what the likely expenditure is on such proposals.

A number of proposals of the nature referred to were received and are being examined in the Economic Development Branch of the Department of Finance.

Can the Minister give any idea as to when any of these schemes are likely to come to fruition? Is he aware that Bray, which was one of the most popular seaside resorts, has become badly decayed in recent times and badly needs some sort of rehabilitation? Can he give us any idea when there is likely to be a decision on the matter?

I am afraid I cannot. I could suggest that the question might be directed to the Department concerned.
