Vol. 180 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Resignations of Army Officers.

26.

asked the Minister for Defence if he will state the number of officers who have resigned from the Army during the past year.

One officer resigned from na Buan Óglaigh during the year ended 29 Feabhra, 1960.

In addition 26 officers retired voluntarily, 18 were retired on age grounds and 16 officers holding temporary appointments were retired.

I did not catch the Minister's reply. I asked how many officers resigned?

I said that one officer resigned and 26 retired voluntarily. It is the same thing. It is just a technical difference.
