Vol. 180 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Male Workers Employed by Department of Finance.

4.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the number of male workers analogous to agricultural workers employed by his Department at the rate of wages applicable to whole-time agricultural workers, and in the case of seasonal or part-time employees an average of such.

The only men employed by my Department at a minimum rate prescribed by Agricultural Wages (Minimum Rates) Order are seasonal workers, about eighteen in number, engaged for about five weeks each year on the cutting of noxious weeds at the Curragh, County Kildare.
