Vol. 180 No. 7

Written Answers. - Workers Employed by Department of Health.

41.

asked the Minister for Health if he will state the number of male workers (excluding clerical workers) in receipt of wages of between £4 10s. and £7 per week employed by his Department, and the total wages so paid in 1959; and if he will indicate the categories of workers so employed.

There are no such workers employed in the Department of Health.

In Dundrum Asylum, there are two workers in the category mentioned in the question. In 1959 the total aggregate wages paid to two such workers, one of whom was employed for part of the year only, was £563. They are engaged on farm and gardening duties.
