Vol. 181 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Little Island (Cork) New School.

9.

asked the Minister for Finance when his Department will be in a position to invite tenders for the erection of the new school in Little Island, County Cork, where at present some forty per cent. of the children have to be taught in a dilapidated outhouse; and if in view of the urgency of the matter he will have the building put in hands immediately.

The urgency of the provision of a new school at Little Island is recognised and plans and specification have been prepared. The preparation of the Bill of Quantities is in hands, and, as soon as it is ready, tenders will be invited without delay.
