Vol. 181 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - F.C.A. Storemen Drivers' Allowances.

34.

asked the Minister for Defence if he is aware that storemen drivers, classified as orderly room clerks, attached to the F.C.A. are not paid a special allowance of 3/9d. per day despite the fact that the N.C.O. instructors whom they drive are paid this special allowance; and if he will take immediate steps to remedy this matter.

New rates of special allowances for storemen drivers attached to An Fórsa Cosanta Áitiúil will, I expect, be promulgated at an early date. The new rates will represent an appreciable improvement on the present position.
