Vol. 181 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Language Movement in Six Counties.

19.

asked the Minister for Education whether State funds are available to help the language movement in the Six Counties; and, if so, the annual amount made available for this purpose.

Grants are made from State funds to a number of Irish language organisations whose activities cover the entire country. No specific apportionment is made of any of these grants as between expenditure on activities in the Twenty Six Counties and in the Six Counties by the organisations concerned.

Is it a secret? The Minister should know what is spent in the Six Counties.
