Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Trade with Iron Curtain Countries.

asked the Taoiseach the value of goods (a) imported from and (b) exported to Iron Curtain countries from 1st January, 1959 to the latest available date.

I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to circulate in the Official Report a statement showing the value of imports originating in and of exports to the U.S.S.R. and certain other Eastern European countries during the period from the 1 January, 1959, to the 29 February, 1960, the latest date up to which the figures are available at present.

Following is the statement:—

VALUE of imports originating in and of exports to the U.S.S.R. and certain other Eastern European countries in the period from 1st January, 1959 to 29th February, 1960.
