asked the Taoiseach the value of goods (a) imported from and (b) exported to India and Pakistan from 1st January, 1959 to the latest available date.

The value of imports originating in India and Pakistan in the period from 1 January, 1959, to 29 February, 1960, the latest date up to which the figures are available at present, was £4,869,591 and £915,259 respectively. The value of total exports to India in the same period was £21,743 and to Pakistan it was £276,116.
