In the year ended 31st March, 1957, average monthly employment by the Wexford County Council on road works was 484 men and under the Local Authorities (Works) Act, 42 men. In the year ended 31st March, 1960, the corresponding figure for road works was 341 men. No schemes were executed by the Council in that year under the Local Authorities (Works) Act.
