Vol. 182 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Glenamoy (Mayo) Peatlands Station: Rolling of Road.

21.

asked the Minister for Local Government whether a sum of money was sanctioned by him, for the rolling of the road from Peatlands station at Glenamoy into Pullathomas village and on to Knocknaglower; and, if so, how much, the date of such sanction, and if any conditions have been attached thereto.

No special grant has been sanctioned for the work in question. The Mayo County Council's proposals for County Road Improvement Works in 1960/61 include a scheme for the improvement of a secford-Omeat tion of the Glenamoy/Pullathomas road, at the Glenamoy end, at an estimated cost of £2,500. The scheme in question was approved on the 18th May. No special conditions were attached to the approval.
