Representations regarding repairs to the pier at Surgeview, Blacksod, County Mayo, were first made to my Department in July, 1955.
It was decided in February, 1958, not to recommend repairs in view of a report from the Office of Public Works that, because of its exposed position, any expenditure on repairs to this pier would be a waste of money.
