Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Remission of Driving Licence Disqualification.

1.

Mr. Ryan

asked the Minister for Justice if he will state in respect of the disqualification for holding a driving licence which he remitted with effect from 26th May last the conviction for which the disqualification was imposed.

The conviction in question was in the Dublin District Court on 19th December, 1951, in respect of the offence of driving in a manner dangerous to the public, contrary to Section 51 of the Road Traffic Act, 1951. The defendant was disqualified for holding a driving licence for 15 years and over 8 years and 5 months had elapsed on the date that the disqualification was remitted.
