andMr. Manley asked the Minister for Lands if wire from a continental source has been used in the fencing of the Kilmaluda state forest, County Cork.

Yes. Sheep netting wire being used in the fencing of the area in question is part of a quantity of wire purchased in Belgium in 1953 and since held as part of the general wire stocks of the Forestry Division. I understand that at the time suitable wire was not obtainable from any Irish manufacturer. I am informed that all the Forestry Division's current requirements of wire come from Irish sources.
