Vol. 186 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Question. Oral Answers. - Housing in Rathdown (Dublin) Area.

13.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state with reference to the Rathdown area of the Dublin County Council the number of houses unfit for habitation which are at present occupied, giving the number in each family concerned and the period of residence; and when it is likely that these families will be properly housed.

Dublin County Council is at present engaged in a survey of unfit housing in its area at my request and I understand that, pending completion of that survey, the information requested by the Deputy is not available to the council.

14.

asked the Minister for Local Government the number of people on the waiting list for housing in the Rathdown area of the Dublin County Council; and how long it is estimated it will take to provide sufficient houses for these people.

Particulars of applicants for housing are not recorded by Dublin County Council by reference to the area mentioned by the Deputy. Particulars are available, however, of applicants in certain localities in that area. As these particulars are in the form of a tabular statement I propose, with your premission, a Cheann Comhairle, to circulate it with the Official Report.

Following is the statement:

Dundrum

90
