asked the Minister for Transport and Power if he will state for the latest available year in respect of the following ports: Drogheda, Dundalk, Wexford, Waterford, Limerick and Galway, (1) the number of ships which entered and left each port, (2) the amount of cargo, in tons, carried by each ship into and out of each port, (3) the total amount of port and dock dues collected in each port, and (4) the proposed amount of Government grants to each port in respect of port improvements in the near future.

I propose with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle to circulate in the Official Report a statement giving the information requested. Information as to the quantities of cargo carried in each individual ship is not available, but the total tonnage of cargo for the year in each port is shown.
