Vol. 188 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Postal Deliveries in Drimnagh (Dublin).

15.

Mr. Ryan

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he is aware of the unsatisfactory and late postal deliveries in the Brandon Road district, Drimnagh, Dublin; and if he will take steps to ensure earlier regular daily deliveries of the morning post in that area.

The morning post is normally delivered to about half the 300 houses on Brandon Road by 8.40 a.m. and to the remainder between 9.10 and 9.45 a.m. As happens on all posts, however, these times are liable to be exceeded occasionally when the mails are abnormally heavy as, for instance, at Easter.
