Vol. 189 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cost of Helicopter Flight.

15.

Mr. Ryan

asked the Minister for Justice the cost of the helicopter flight by the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Justice on 15th May, 1961.

The flight in question did not cost the State anything.

I am glad to have this opportunity of thinking publicly Celtic Helicopter Services Ltd. for their kindness in placing the helicopter at the disposal of myself, the City Engineer and the Assistant Garda Commissioner, Dublin Metropolitan Division, in connection with our survey of Dublin's traffic problems.

Would the Parliamentary Secretary say, now that he is becoming Minister, if he considers that the time is ripe to get more of these helicopters for use for ambulance purposes in the West of Ireland?

That is another question.

It is a much more important question than providing these facilities for the city engineer and those concerned in the traffic survey.

It may be important but it is not the question at the moment.
