Vol. 189 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Processing of Raw Materials from Barytes Mines.

22.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if in order to provide much needed employment for young men in the county, consideration has been given to the establishment of a factory to process the raw material taken from the barytes mines on Belbulben mountain, County Sligo, instead of having it shipped abroad as at present.

I should be glad to facilitate the development of an economically sound proposal by private enterprise for the establishment of a factory to process the raw material taken from the barytes mines on Belbulben mountain.

If private enterprise does not do it, will the Government do it?

Sin ceist eile.
